Mission Statement: St. Barnabas Youth Ministry works to foster personal and spiritual growth in the lives of all young people in our Church. We welcome our young people and understand that we are all on a unique journey as we answer our call to holiness and to live our lives as disciples of Jesus Christ. SBYM is committed to draw out leaders in our young people and to encourage them to take part in the life and mission of St. Barnabas Church.
Confirmation is a sacrament available to all high school teens. This is a sacrament they have been preparing for during their faith journey since their First Holy Communion and we are so honored and privileged to continue this process with them. What a blessing!
St. Barnabas Youth Ministry
(6th - 12th Grade)
Goals and Objectives:
Our youth ministry welcomes all youth grades 6-12 at Saint Barnabas parish. This coming year, we are so excited to continue building a solid community for our youth to plug into with Saint Barnabas youth ministry. Our main goal as a youth ministry is to foster personal and spiritual growth of our young people and to build them up as disciples of Jesus Christ. We hope to build a community of young Catholics where they feel welcome, safe, and secure. On a pragmatic level, we will meet our goals through service events, social outings, spring retreat, monthly meetings, small group discipleship, and one on one's.
“Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and full of faith. When he reached Antioch and saw how God blessed the people, he was glad. He ENCOURAGED all the believers in Antioch always to obey the Lord with all their hearts and many people became followers of the Lord.” Acts 11:23-24
