Spiritual Bouquet of Prayer for Peace in Myanmar
Dear Parishioners:
Our parishioners in the Chin Community are deeply saddened by the troubling news coming from their home country of Myanmar. Recently a military coup toppled the government, detained the duly elected president, and imposed martial law. Military leaders say this is a temporary situation that will be imposed for only one year, but the last time this happened the military ruled for twenty years.
Let us remember in prayer our Chin families, most of whom have parents, grandparents, and siblings back home. To express your solidarity with the Chin community I encourage you to make a spiritual bouquet, thereby promising to pray certain prayers for a peaceful resolution to the situation in Myanmar and a return to a government of, by, and for the people. Details about the spiritual bouquet are in the narthex and online.
Our Lady, Queen of Peace, pray for us!
God bless,
Fr Mahan
