Mission:
Saint Barnabas Catholic Church was founded in 1965 by Father John Sciarra. His vision of a stewardship parish still guides us today.
All Christians are called to be good stewards tithing 5% of their first fruits to their church and volunteering their time through service. Our stewardship here at Saint Barnabas is a way of life for our parishioners. The four pillars of this life in Christ are Hospitality, Prayer, Formation and Service. As Catholics we realize we must to live our lives as Christ asks us to do welcoming all that we meet (HOSPITALITY); making sure we focus on prayer in our daily lives and attend mass (PRAYER); participating in the sacraments (FORMATION); and serving others through our many ministries or community outreach (SERVICE).
Our stewardship heritage has become the mission of our church which stands on these four pillars:
Hospitality – All are Welcome
Prayer – Centered on the Eucharist
Formation – Cradle to Grave
Service – Outreach to Others
